Here are some game ideas for students with varying levels of proficiency in Hindi.

1. Charade – This game can be played to reinforce keywords or vocabulary words. Students take turns to act out a keyword and the rest of the class guesses the word. The game can be modified so that students give verbal clues for the keyword.

2. Telephone- Divide the class into two. Ask one student from each group to come up with a word with a given alphabet. The first student whispers the word to the second student. The second student whispers the word to the third and so on, until all students in the group have heard the word. The last student to hear the word says the word aloud. If the word is correct (i.e., it is what was whispered by the first student), the team gets a point. The game can be played with as many words as time permits. The team with most correct words wins.

3. Words with an alphabet – Divide the class into two. Both groups take turns saying words that start with an alphabet. If one group gives a wrong word and no one from that group corrects it, that group loses a point. The group with most point wins.

4 . Words that do not belong - This game can be used to expand vocabulary, to learn words with maatraas and half letters, and to identify masculine and feminine words.
